Meet Your Instructor and Coach
Dr. Cynthia Chen-Joea is a double board-certified family and obesity medicine physician, career and life coach, and part-time clinical faculty at Emanate Health and USC. She helps early-career physicians overcome burnout, gain clarity, and build sustainable, fulfilling careers. A former department chair and leader in professional organizations, she is passionate about physician wellness, leadership development, and systemic advocacy. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, travel, yoga, Pilates, and the occasional Netflix binge.
Rose Oxford, LCSW, is a licensed psychotherapist in Long Beach, California, specializing in EMDR and trauma-informed, somatic therapy. With 20 years of hospital-based experience, she helps clients—especially healthcare professionals—navigate burnout, compassion fatigue, and chronic stress. Her empathetic, collaborative approach empowers clients to build resilience, heal deeply, and enhance overall well-being.
